3.2. Starting the Common Application

When the installation process completes, the "Soba 1.1" icon automatically appears on your desktop. You can start the common application by double clicking this icon. The common application is a P2P type application that was developed based on the SOBA Framework.

3.2.1. Initial Setup for the Common Application

You have to setup the environment before using the common application. When you run the common application for the first time, the initial setup tool is automatically activated. Then you are required to setup the user information by setting and registering a user name, password, and icon. If the "User Environment Setup" window shown in Fig. 3-9 is displayed when you start the common application for the first time, enter a user name and password to setup the user information.

If you click the "OK" button in the window shown in Fig. 3-10, the next window shown in Fig. 3-11 is displayed.

In the "User Information Setting" window shown in Fig. 3-11, you can enter your nickname as a user name, set the public information, and select an icon. Setup and/or select the information as necessary.

Now the user environment setup is complete. The common application automatically starts.

3.2.2. Starting and Closing the Common Application

If you start the common application by clicking the "Soba 1.1" icon, the Login window is displayed as shown in Fig. 3-12. Enter your user name and password to login. The starting window is displayed as shown in Fig. 3-13. The starting process is executed and starting the common application is complete.

To close the common application, select the "Logout" menu on the menu bar, and then click the "Yes" button on the "Logout Confirmation" dialog shown in Fig. 3-14.
